This marks the first year the Centaur label's Pride release has been mixed by Max Rodriguez. He is a popular DJ who plays at clubs in New York City, plus special events in New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and elsewhere. Like the Party Groove Pride releases of recent years, his mix here is filled with "favorites" like you would hear at the dance tent of any pride event. There are the new dance remixes of classics featuring the original artists, like Tears For Fears' "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" and Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman", as well as the always popular dance remakes of classic & recent pop hits, like the cover versions of Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up", Irene Cara's "What A Feeling (Flashdance)", Madonna's "Sorry", Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know" and more. Included too are the top 10 Billboard dance hits "Kiss the Sky" by Danielle Bollinger and "So Special" by Judge Jules & Michael Woods feat. Marcella Woods. And of course, for 2006, no Pride mix would be complete without the Brokeback Mountain Theme, here in the dance version done by Groovy 69.
