The latest from the One Tribe label is this delightful mix from DJ William Umana, best known for his remix of Shakira's "Totura". Most of the tracks are lesser known, including some of Umana's own productions, but there is an inescapable feeling of peak-hour energy throughout the disc. Hearing it made us smile, as we felt the familiar and unmistakable sensation of being on a crowded dancefloor at a major circuit party. Not bad for a relatively unknown selection of tracks! Many tracks are flavored with a dash of a tribal or darker edge- just enough to really provide the perfect "circuit" sound without becoming too afterhours. Among our favorites is a new track from the legendary Viola Wills, "What Now My Love" (Klubkidz Original Mix), and Umana's own sassy, bitchy anthem "The Lights...The Drama" that recalls the best of Peter Rauhofer's Club 69 hits, not surprising given that Umana's productions have been featured on popular compilations from Peter Rauhofer and Tracy Young.
